Blijven hopen!

The middle Jonas Brother admits: “It’s an interesting year. Nick is turning 21, so I’ve been focusing on his party planning and making sure that he is fully intoxicated.”
On the flip side, Joe adds that he plans to keep his own birthday pretty low-key. “It’s always nice to play shows on my birthday, but I’m looking forward to hanging out with friends and family … It’s starting to get where it’s not as exciting anymore you know? … And it’s just kind of another year. It’s more for me focusing on the club and all the things for when you’re 21 for Nick’s birthday.”
Joe admits he wants Nick to have the same 21st experience he had. “My 21st, I ended up on the bottom of a flight of stairs. I don’t know how that happened. I spent it in a college town and we went with a bunch of our friends and there was a thing going around called ‘icing’ where you get Smirnoff Ice and someone has to secretly hand it to you and you get on one knee and you have to chug it … I can’t go near a Smirnoff Ice anymore.”
Now that we now know Joe’s goal of Nick’s 21st party, how is Joe celebrating his own birthday on Thursday? By playing soccer for a good cause!
“We have a star team that we’ve had a rivalry with, that one of my brothers started over the last four years, and we were trying to figure a way to celebrate my birthday … I’ve been doing a lot of stuff with the charity Feed the Children and me and my brothers started our own charity and I thought it would be a creative way to celebrate my birthday by getting fans involved, because they sometimes bring gifts to venues, and I just thought what a different way going about it having them buy tickets, but all the proceeds go to charity.”
The Jonas Brothers have been busy touring lately, and Joe admits it’s been pretty exhausting, yet fun.
“It’s been awesome. It’s kind of nice to go back onstage again after so long. We remember how tiring this all is and how you love seeing a bed at the end of the day. But we’re excited. I think we’re going to try to do another tour maybe in the fall, I think. I don’t want to spill the beans, but I think probably October hopefully.”

Stay tuned for more Jonas-news ! Eline xx
